Rally: If you are going to the rally in August (and I hope you are, we need your support!) please download the booking form from here and return it to Alan Hill (Sea Chimes). We have to let the organisers know the numbers so please return the forms to Alan at 3 Bushey Road, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 4AS as soon as possible. More information is on the poster under 'Hot News'. If anyone is interested in entering the boat handling competition please let Alan know as soon as possible. We are allowed up to four boats per club. Celebrating 120 years of Tom & Steve! The crews of Bilbo Baggins Too and Mad Hatters would love you to join them in celebrating Tom And Steve's significant birthdays. Saturday 25th July 2009 at Tadpole moorings 2 until 5pm. Hope to see you there. Some 'visitor' moorings will be available. Pirates and Wenches Evening: What a fantastic turnout!!! From the feedback so far it seems like a brilliant evening all round. Great weather, great food, great music and most of all a great effort by everyone who attended. (How could we ever forget the sight of 'Little John Silver' in his buckled shoes). Thank you all for making it such a success. How we beat that next year I just don't know! (Ideas on a postcard!) Warning: Safety alert for portable gas stoves. Please read this if you are using or intend to use one of these portable gas cookers which take a small aerosol type gas canister. Please note new item in the menu:- Navigation Info: This is the old 'news' page updated where I will post all EA navigation information I receive. Crane OUT 2009: Please note that due to unforseen reasons this years Crane OUT date has been moved to Saturday 24thOct 2009 (was 17th) ATYC Dinner/Dance: Held at Phyllis Court on Saturday 21st Feb was a great success. We collected all the awards from the recent Boat Handling competition including the very prestigious 'Motor Boat & Yachting Jubilee Trophy' awarded to the team of club boats with the highest number of points. A pretty good achievement with only 2 boats entered! We have now stirred up the hornets nest and the other clubs will be trying really hard to knock us off our perch at this years event to be held at Henley! We are allowed up to four boats per club so I hope we can get more members to have a go this year. So come on, have a go at the May Bablock weekend competition and help us to keep the S.R.C.C name in the headlines! Once again my thanks to all those who attended the Rally and the Dinner and gave us such fantastic support! Pictures of the awards! |
