| It should compare with treasure island! Pirates called John Bishop, black saphires sparkling in the lock, raiding parties in strange places, pushing off offending gun boats with bare hands, living off bread and cheese, no down hill roads and to top it all a rough sea. Everything Stevenson would have wanted. What a yarn!! A true sailors tale - boats bigger than they were, waves the size of mountains and beasts of the water included (Den and Bob). The real treasure was in the boats all the time - wasnt it ladies. Excellent diary, well done Gill. |
