Jill and I and several other club members, along with many of Bob's old friends and colleagues, attended the inauguration ceremony for Bob Williams memorial at St. John's lock on the Sunday after crane in. It was a very moving affair with short speeches from Peter (Lock keeper), Bob, (the landlord of the Trout Inn), Adrian Swift on behalf of Eileen McKeever for the E.A. and a short service which was led by the local vicar. Bob's daughter then spoke on behalf of the family and his grandchildren read out a poem they had written.
The memorial looks great and is a tribute to all those who's hard work made it possible.
