| Newsletter:
Those of you who receive their
newsletter via email should have had it by now. Those members who still
have theirs via 'snail mail' can, by clicking
here and completing a simple form , also get their copy 'IN COLOUR'
as soonas it's ready rather then waiting for the post! And, more imortantly,
it saves the club postage. CRANE OUT 2008: Well, what a great day.. the 2 cranes turned up early, the weather was great and we finished lifting 65 boats by just after 3 o'clock!! It was only possible due to the terrific number of helpers this year. My sincere thanks to all who helped to make the day such a success including Tracy and her group of helpers who kept us going with food and hot drinks and Jill, Helen , Steve and Dot who kept the supply of boats running so well. Thank you all.
ATYC Rally: WELL, what a result. As you probably know by now we walked off with the top individual prize , the top club team prize and several others. Dave Hansell with his crew of Grace & John won the top individual award and he and I with my crew of Jill & Alan walked away with the very prestigious top club team award! I will never forget the great cheer from our supporters when the results were announced. Although we have the medals we don't receive the actual awards until the annual ATYC Dinner & Dance in February next year. So we are hoping for many of you to come along and help carry them all home !! To win those awards was the icing on the cake for me to what was a very successful club 'tidal trip'. I know several members were very nervous before we left but I hope they will now have gained enough confidence to perhaps 'go tidal' again. All in all it was a great couple of weeks spent with some very nice people! I would like to say that I felt very proud to be your Commodore. Thank you to all of you. The results are up on the ATYC web site click on the ATYC link on the links page and read all about it? THERE ARE NOW PICTURES OF SRCC UP ON THE ATYC SITE |
